Does your family have a theme? My husband and I have both been travelers prior to getting married, and it has carried over to our family life as well. My parents always did a yearly family trip, and I have so many amazing memories because of this. It was definitely one of my goals to be able to provide for my family as well.

Our daughter was on 23 airplanes by her first birthday. Her first trip was to Germany when I was pregnant! After she was born, our first family trip was to Hawaii when she was about 6 months old, then to Arizona, Tennessee, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, back to Orlando. Her first birthday party was even a travel theme! We took a trip to Williamsburg by Amtrak when our son was about 3 months old, and have 5 more trips on the book for the next year.

To say we have a travel bug is an understatement! My husband and I have enjoyed showing our kids the world, teaching them to adapt to new environments, and getting away from the busy life we live back home. Traveling allows us to have quality family time, eat AMAZING food, and teach & learn.

As I start a travel agency business, I’m also working on one of my other goals – teaching parents and families about traveling. When we took our first family trip, I was terrified of our plane trip with our daughter. When we took our Amtrak trip this last summer, I was terrified of getting on the train because I didn’t know what to pack, or what to expect. My goal is to share some general travel tips along the way, and share information that I’ve learned about different areas we have traveled!
